Giving Back, One Drop at a Time: Join Us for RED Day in Hawley
On Wednesday, May 8, 2025 our Keller Williams Hawley team is setting aside our usual real estate work to focus on something even more important — giving back to our community.
This year for RED Day, we’re hosting a Blood Drive and Basket Raffle to support the American Red Cross. From emergency shelters and disaster response to critical blood donations, the Red Cross plays a vital role in helping people during their hardest moments — and they rely on all of us to keep that mission going.
Here’s how you can help:
🩸 Donate blood: Just one donation can help save up to three lives. Blood supplies are low, and every unit truly matters.
🎟️ Buy raffle tickets: We’ll have several themed gift baskets up for raffle, and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the American Red Cross.

Why Blood Donations Matter
Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. Despite this constant demand, only about 3% of age-eligible people donate blood each year. According to the Red Cross:
- A single car accident victim may require as many as 100 units of blood.
- One pint of blood can help up to three people.
- Blood can’t be manufactured — it can only come from generous donors.
- Type O negative blood is the universal donor and always in high demand.
Whether it’s for trauma victims, cancer patients, or people undergoing surgeries, blood donations save lives every day — and you don’t need to be a doctor to help.
What Is RED Day?
RED Day stands for Renew, Energize, and Donate — a company-wide day of service celebrated each May by Keller Williams offices around the world. Rather than taking a day off, we roll up our sleeves (literally, in this case!) and step out into our communities to give back.
Every office chooses a project that reflects the needs of their local community. For us in Hawley, partnering with the American Red Cross just made sense — especially at a time when the need for blood is so critical.
